Helpful Information About Working With Nourish Feeding and Speech Therapy
Billing & Insurance
Nourish Feeding and Speech Therapy is an out-of-network provider. This means we are a private-pay practice and do not directly accept insurance. This allows us the flexibility to tailor treatment sessions to the unique needs of each family, without the constraints of insurance network requirements.
We do accept HSA and FSA cards. Upon request, we can provide an itemized, detailed receipt called a superbill, which you may submit to your insurance company, health share program, or other reimbursement account for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
It is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to inquire about out-of-network insurance benefits and to submit all of the necessary documents to your insurance provider.

For most children, an evaluation is needed before therapy begins. This allows the clinician to take a thorough history, better understand your child's needs, determine whether therapy is appropriate, and work with your family to develop individualized goals.
If your child has already completed a speech-language or feeding evaluation elsewhere, the clinician is happy to review that evaluation and determine whether it provides enough information to begin therapy without completing a new evaluation.

-
The duration of therapy depends on several factors, including your child's individual needs, goals, diagnosis or area of concern, age, attendance consistency, home practice, and progress over time. Some children benefit from short-term therapy to target a specific skill while others benefit from ongoing therapy to support their feeding and communication as it develops and needs change. Your clinician will work with your family to develop goals and achievable timelines. At Nourish Feeding and Speech Therapy, our goal is to provide therapy only as it is beneficial and clinically appropriate.
